Director, FP&A

We’re looking for a Director of FP&A to lead our growing FP&A team. In this position, you will work closely with your FP&A team and business partners across Fastly to enhance our forecast accuracy as well as provide actionable insights into the health of our business. This is a great role for someone who is a self-starter, loves complex challenges, enjoys a fast paced environment, is excited to build processes and develop a team, enjoys interacting with several business partners, and has strong analytical and communication skills.

What You'll Do

• Continue to build and evolve build an outstanding business partnering function, where department leaders and executives are empowered to make critical budgeting and prioritization decisions, and lead the FP&A team in its implementation and improvement
• Lead the team in the consolidation and maintenance of our financial model in Adaptive Insights and communicate our rolling forecast methodology to the organization
• Serve as a mentor, advocate, and manager to the FP&A team
• Build and maintain rolling forecast and annual budget models, consolidated reporting, and variance analyses to identify trends, risks and opportunities, and recommended paths forward
• Contribute insightful commentary to support quarterly earnings announcements, guidance setting, and board meeting preparation
• Work closely with your counterparts in accounting to close monthly financials accurately and on a timely basis
• Establish and cultivate positive relationships throughout Fastly
• Support executive leadership with special projects and ad hoc analyses

What We're Looking For

• Bachelor's and/or Masters’ degree in finance, accounting, or a quantitative discipline
• 9-11 years of publicly held company FP&A experience, preferably in the SaaS/Infrastructure spaces
• A positive approach to leadership and mentorship; experience leading and building teams required
• Ability to manage upwards and downwards in order to achieve objectives and meet deadlines
• Highly inquisitive, with a strong attention to detail
• Expertise with Adaptive Insights preferred
• Experience with ad-hoc modeling projects
• Comfortable presenting to executive leadership and Board members
• Expert level Excel modeling and Powerpoint presentation skills
• Outstanding communication skills (oral and written)
• Positive attitude with a willingness to go above and beyond when needed
