RESPONSIBILITIES AND QUALIFICATIONS

Role

VP- Quantitative Developer Lead within Investment Banking Division Finance Engineering team

Experience:

5-10 years of experience, preferable in financial services industry

Responsibilities:

  • Using advanced time series statistics and survival analysis, develop and maintain profit and loss projection models for business planning, budgeting and regulatory stress tests;
  • Build, develop and maintain balance sheet and interest income models of GS’s corporate lending book;
  • Develop, maintain and enhance the Capital Management and Analytics for the division;
  • Prepare responses/presentations to regulatory agencies on all CCAR models built
  • Perform all required tests (e.g. sensitivity and back-testing) and deliver comprehensive model documentation;
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams, including business stakeholders, model validation and governance teams, and other Engineering teams;
  • Interact with the office of IBD Chief Financial Officer and IBD Chief Risk Officer to better understand and model business nuances;
  • Lead small team of quantitative engineers

Basic Qualifications:

  • Strong communication skills, ability to convey technical topics to a diverse audience, from technologists to senior business leaders
  • Strong quantitative skills (statistics, financial modeling, data science, econometrics)
  • Advanced Degree (Undergraduate required, Masters preferred) in Statistics, Applied Mathematics, Operations Research, or Economics
  • Hands on experience in building robust and scalable code
  • Commercial focus, team-oriented, and self-motivated

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with CCAR/DFAST models a strong plus
  • Experience interfacing with external stakeholders a plus
