Job Description
What is the opportunity?
As the Equity Technology Support, you will support Global Equity (GE) applications within the Sydney office, which include front to back office applications relating to the lifecycle of trade.
What will you do?
- Support GE front to back office applications which relate to the lifecycle of a trade i.e. OMS, EMS, trades, settlement etc.
- Proactively act on issues and works with development teams on resolving them in the short and long term
- Participate in incident and problem management
- Liaise directly with end users, global teams and vendors
- Assist users with various technical or ad-hoc requests
- Monitoring, trouble-shooting and status reporting
- Proactively identify and implement improvements to the platform
- Assist projects to operational stage through system integration, testing, deployment, localization and some programming type activities
What do you need to succeed?
Must-have
- Heavily focused in Cash Equities experience and relevant Business SME Knowledge
- Business knowledge including Cash Equities and/or Equities Derivatives, Single Stock/ High Touch, Portfolio Trading/ Facilitation, Algorithmic Trading, Low Touch/ No Touch Trading/ ETF /Program Trading, Prime, Stock Borrow Loan, Real Time Position Risk Management, DMA and Cross Connect, Market Making, Exchanges and Private Dark Pool, Trade Booking and Settlement Flow, Pre-trade regulatory checks, ASX and Other related markets knowledge
- Aware of market convention and regulatory/compliance requirements
- Application knowledge including IRESS & FIDESSA, FIX Routing, Order Management System, Execution Management System, Client Connectivity (UL Bridge), Smart Order Router for multi-market liquidity, Quant Signals, Exchange Connectivity, and Low Latency Deployment.
- Technology skills including, OS (Linux, Windows), Scripting Language (Bash, Perl), Database (SQL Server/Sybase or RDBMS) and Programming Language (Python), Middle Ware (Solace & EMS), FIX Protocol Messaging, Market Data (Bloomberg, Reuters, SR Labs Vela Trading), Reference Data, Monitoring ITRS Geneos & Scheduling, Networks and Splunk Analysis, Wiki Confluence (Atlassian), ITSM, HPSM, ServiceNow and Cisco F5 Load Balancer.
- Strong Communicator and stakeholder management
