Job summary

The Red Hat Sales team is looking for a Telecommunications Global Alliance Executive to join us in San Francisco, CA. In this role, the primary responsibility will be managing incremental revenue through alignment between Red Hat and our ecosystem, from technology and upstream community investments through joint marketing to joint field fulfillment. Excellent management and executive engagement skills are needed to guide alignment across a wide range of Red Hat and partner stakeholders. To effectively perform these responsibilities, experience in strategic alliances and direct sales is required, as well as a deep understanding of network ecosystem and related business models.

Primary job responsibilities

• Support the Account teams to develop executive relationships and alignment, coordinated tightly with Red Hat's product leadership to ensure design win pursuits fit with overall Red Hat market strategy and commercial models
• Maximize overall sales results, including bookings with partners and joint bookings with
• end-user accounts globally, delivering on a mutually agreed account plan
• Guide all alignment activities with partners, including product management, marketing, presales, sales, services and support
• Represent Red Hat and the partnership as a spokesperson and presenter at internal and external events
• Help the partner to get the best out of Red Hat
• Coordinate globally distributed account management and alliance management resources,
• inspiring the virtual team to deliver across all areas of business alignment

Required skills

• 10+ years experience in the high tech or network ecosystem industry, with an in-depth understanding of Red Hat, open source and customer issues in delivering on the promise of network transformation
• 5+ years large or global account sales experience, with demonstrated excellence in delivering
• results against an aggressive growth plan
• 5+ years partner or alliance management, with a focus on developing large strategic partners
• Proven ability to manage cross-functional teams, including product management, marketing,
• presales, sales, and support
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to work with diverse senior
• executives and program owners
• Highly collaborative work style with proven ability to gather consensus and get support for
• decisive and timely action
• MBA degree is a plus
• Willingness to travel
