The Role

The LeafLink International team is looking for a Business Development Manager, LLI - Latin America to support the expansion of LeafLink’s marketplace in Spanish-speaking markets. S/he will have a proven track record of breaking into and growing new markets within the cannabis industry. S/he will continue to build and foster relationships, ultimately paving the way for LeafLink’s growth in emerging markets worldwide. S/he will work directly with some of the leading cannabis businesses in the world, on the front lines of this global industry. S/he will report directly to the Head of Business Development and Government Affairs, LLI.

Responsibilities:

  • Meet KPIs measured as GMV to ensure new opportunities are aligned with company goals and objectives
  • Provide remote and in-person demonstrations of the platform to all important stakeholders
  • Research product viability in priority countries alongside the International team
  • Represent LeafLink to clients and at international conferences and events
  • Work with Product teams and Identify any necessary product modifications for new markets
  • Develop relationships with regulators and stakeholder businesses in emerging cannabis countries

Requirements:

  • Track record of entering and growing new markets within the cannabis industry
  • A strong understanding of international cannabis regulations and trends
  • Has effective communication skills with a proven ability to build strong relationships with partner organizations (internal and external)
  • Comfortable with uncertainty and eager to join a fast-paced, high growth industry player that is revolutionizing the cannabis industry
  • Self-motivated and excited by the potential to own what you do with willingness to learn and adapt as needed
  • You work well independently as well as with other members of the team, both in person and remotely
  • Experienced using Salesforce, Google Suites, Slack, and LinkedIn
  • Ability to travel up to 50% of the time

Qualifications:

  • Minimum education: Bachelor’s Degree
  • 2+ years of experience in technology business development
  • Preferred: Worked in scaling a cannabis technology company
