Your Role and Responsibilities
The IBM FlashSystem Card Design team is responsible for the development of IBM Storage Hardware Platforms and Media. This includes storage architecture, design, schematics, physical design, review and bring-up. We are seeking an engineer that can work independently in the lab to perform characterizations, signal integrity evaluations and debug of hardware. This includes circuit analysis, interpretation of data sheets and making recommendations. You will also participate in design and implementation decisions on new product design. The team is responsible for both infrastructure hardware, solid state and flash storage media, host interfaces and storage host infrastructure.
Required Technical and Professional Expertise

• 4+ years of Digital and Analog Circuit Design.
• Solid understanding of the principles of signal integrity.
• Demonstrated analytical skills.
• Experience in the principles of layout and physical design.
• Extensive experience in the use of Oscilloscopes and other tools.

Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise

• Experience in Schematic Capture tools.
• Ability to understand the nuances of various computer architectures.
• Signal Integrity Simulation.
• Test and Validation of hardware.
