Job Description

MAIN PURPOSE OF ROLE

  • Responsible for the overall marketing and education function in Southeast Asia, Korea and India, Taiwan and HK, for EP, and including ANZ for HF.
  • Develop and implement marketing strategy that aligns with the organization's overall vision.
  • Drive the development of the key growth drivers in EP and HF, i.e. Heartmate System, Advanced EP procedures and the capital equipment business.
  • Formulate and implement product strategies to maximize market share, sales revenue and margin for the division.
  • Increase adoption of our therapies and technologies, to achieve the business revenues, growth and share objectives for EP and HF.
  • Lead, direct, and control all marketing and education activities to meet the organization's short (within 12 months) and long-term business (more than 12 months) objectives.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Identify, evaluate, negotiate and manage complex and/or strategically important business opportunities, that will contribute to the organization’s short and long-term business goals.
  • Evaluate the findings of market research or analysis projects, assess the viability of alternative opportunities, and present recommendations to Regional and Asia Pacific management.
  • Establish high-level, significant relationships with potential clients, partners, key decision-makers, and industry leaders to promote the organization’s products and services.
  • Partner with the GMs and commercial leaders in driving sales execution competencies and build a high-performance sales organization in the assigned region.
  • Leverage key learnings, good practices and resources within the region for business development initiatives.
  • Lead, direct, evaluate, and develop a team of marketing and education professionals to achieve established sales and business development goals.
  • Collaborate and liaise with APAC marketing and Education Team to leverage on resources, alignment and good practices.
  • Support cross business unit collaborations within Abbott organization (APAC marketing, education, HE&R, clinical and RA) to maximize the business opportunities and patient benefits.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education

Bachelor degree or professional certificate in life science, business management or equivalent.

Experience/Background

  • Minimum 10 years in regional business management for high-tech medical devices, preferable in Cardiac Arrythmia, Cardiology or Cardiac Surgery.
  • Strong sales and marketing management and leadership positions in previous assignment.
  • Tactical and Strategic Marketing in rapidly changing healthcare environments.
  • P&L management.
