Job summary

The Red Hat Global Demand Center team is looking for a strategic Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) Partner Program Marketing Manager to join us in Raleigh, NC or remotely. In this role, you will lead the ideation, development, and implementation of Red Hat’s global alliance marketing, demand generation, and promotion program strategies designed to accelerate awareness and adoption of Red Hat’s technologies in partnership with HPE and Lenovo. As an OEM Partner Program Marketing Manager, you’ll identify and guide new projects, key sponsors, repeatable programs, and the positioning of Red Hat’s technologies into the partner's overall portfolio and offerings. Successful applicants must reside in a state where Red Hat is registered to do business.

Primary job responsibilities

  • Understand, qualify, and promote awareness and adoption of Red Hat and joint offerings within the alliance and market
  • Develop and manage relevant external and internal marketing programs, activities, and offerings
  • Establish enablement plans and go-to-market activities as the program requires
  • Work in a complementary fashion and in cooperation with the business units and alliance teams, other program managers, marketing managers, and technical leads
  • Work with the extended Alliances team across geographical regions to coordinate strategic activities and be part of the virtual Alliance team
  • Manage global Market Development Fund (MDF) budgets and regional allocations
  • Contribute to the development of alliance programs and partners’ sales programs
  • Develop, update, and maintain marketing content, e.g., collateral, thought leadership, etc.
  • Guide strategy and tactics for events, social media, promotions, and other areas of the marketing mix
  • Engage with Operations, Finance, and Product teams to ensure processes are accurate and easily understood
  • Communicate routinely on updates and enhancements to the program to appropriate stakeholders and management; serve as a project manager for program development
  • Ensure backend operations support the program; work through internal stakeholders and systems like Salesforce.com (SFDC), intranets, and the Partner Portal to ensure content is maintained
  • Serve as the contact person for Red Hat’s field and regional requests related to marketing programs and events
  • Ensure that Red Hat’s program maintains integrity and supports the delivery of the required financial results

Required skills

  • 5+ years of related IT industry experience, preferably with an enterprise software company
  • Comprehensive program management skills and proven record managing large-scale programs and projects, especially OEM partner programs
  • Ability to work well within a team; striving to achieve the team’s and alliance’s goals
  • Understanding of partners business models, channel structures, discounts and ordering process
  • Versatile, adaptable, and able to work in a diverse multidisciplinary virtual team
  • Detail oriented and highly responsive
  • Solid written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills; good presentation skills
  • Process, planning, and project management skills
  • Extremely motivated, passionate, innovative, collaborative, creative, and analytical
  • Ability to generate reports and familiarity with basic business applications like Microsoft Office, Google G Suite, and SFDC
  • Experience with HPE or Lenovo alliance teams a big plus
