Job summary

The Red Hat Services Marketing team is looking for a Manager for the Cross Services Marketing team to join us in Raleigh, NC. In this role, you will be a part of the Global Services Marketing team and responsible for managing the team, as well as developing and carrying out key programs to manage partner enablement, grow revenue, and build enterprise and learner-level brand awareness for Red Hat’s portfolio Services offerings via content creation, social media, and other marketing delivery channels. You will work closely with the broader corporate marketing, regional and field marketing, and channel marketing teams to amplify the Global Services message and offerings. As a Manager, you will collaborate closely with Global Partner and Technical Enablement (GPTE) leadership and regional and global business leadership in order to understand business needs and goals and to translate these into marketing plans, tactics, and routes to market. You will also interact with other Program Marketing Managers, integrating Global Services messages and offerings into the different campaigns for our offerings and solutions and corporate marketing efforts. You’ll need to have excellent management, communication, and coordination skills, the ability to create comprehensive programs, proven management experience, and expertise working with and directly supporting services and marketing teams in a technology company.

Primary job responsibilities

  • Understand the main business goals of the Red Hat Global Services and specifically, GPTE to effective lead marketing efforts
  • Serve as the main point of contact between business leadership and marketing leadership and develop and implement marketing programs to promote demand generation, awareness, and market share of the GPTE portfolio
  • Manage the strategy, marketing plan, and quarterly business updates around key Cross Services activity like Accounts Receivable (AR) and Public Relations (PR) and events
  • Manage the Cross Services marketing team and mentor staff for career performance, growth and progression
  • Collaborate with Red Hat Services and services marketing teams to develop and carry out activities to help promote outcome-based marketing programs and cross-services messaging, content and thought leadership
  • Identify, communicate, and use new and planned marketing activities focused on partners and on target accounts, including events, webinars, speaking engagements, media, etc.
  • Guide the integration of Global Services into regional marketing plans and cross-services messaging and marketing plans
  • Manage the cross-services budget

Required skills

  • Bachelor's degree; MBA is a plus
  • 10+ years of business-to-business (B2B) program marketing experience, preferably in the technology field; enterprise infrastructure software marketing experience is a big plus
  • Record of promoting campaign and marketing program results
  • Experience with Services Marketing; covering training and consulting marketing and have partner marketing expertise
  • Positive attitude and a good work ethic; great organizational and communication skills
  • Understanding of sales needs, different stages of the customer buying cycle, campaign metrics and analysis, and market intelligence resources
  • Demonstrated management skills and creativity
  • Ability to work with different markets and stakeholders on multiple projects
  • Willingness to travel up to 25%
  • Experience working in a multinational environment is a plus
  • Experience building and managing channel and partner marketing programs is a plus
