The Sr. Manager for the personalization platform, a technologist at heart will join the marketing technology team leading development and migration to Schwab’s next generation personalization platform. This role will be responsible for enabling Omni-channel data-driven personalization solutions for our customers and prospects via end-to-end technical ownership of this platform.

• Establish trust with product owner in establishing the roadmap and work very closely with dependent teams in realizing the vision via focused delivery, establish and mature strong network
• Develop Omni-channel ML-driven highly personalized experiences within mobile and web applications
• You thrive working in a fast-paced environment and enjoy developing high-volume data processing applications
• A strong advocate of working in an Agile environment using automation and CI/CD frameworks
• Professionally influence and negotiate with other technical leaders to define and implement the optimal solution with consideration for technical and project constraints
• Partner with architects to conceptualize and produce design solutions to meet business requirements

What you have

• 2+ years technology management experience running medium to large projects
• 7+ years overall technology experience with a strong affinity towards programming front-end to back-end
• Demonstrated experience with high-volume consumer facing software systems, including architecting and building highly scalable distributed systems, integrations across multiple data sources
• Build real-time decision engines and personalization systems using A/B testing, rules and machine learning that drive communications and content
• Experience managing J2EE applications, Springboot, Pivotal Cloud Foundry, build and management of high availability, scalable APIs
• Familiarity with Hadoop, MapR, Hive, SPARK, HBase, standard methodologies for using analytical architecture on big data and Teradata
• Familiarity with tools such as: Maven, sonar, Atlassian tools – JIRA, Bitbucket, Bamboo, Confluence, monitoring tools such as SPLUNK
• Strong knowledge of CSS style sheets, understand template zone targeting and various integration points of personalization platform
• Exposure to Evergage or SAS personalization platforms a huge plus
• Managing a high performing team of both full-time employees as well as contractors, work with offshore vendors. Develop next generation future leaders.
• Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills, high in entrepreneurial spirit while being goal-oriented
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in computer science or related field
