The Digital Experience team is leading Goldman Sachs into the digital age. Our innovation in web, mobile, social collaboration, and user experience is changing the way we collaborate with our clients and with each other. We design and deliver great products that satisfy the firm’s business needs and achieve adoption. Our team works on the wide variety of interactive platforms such as Symphony, LiveEvents (platform that enables audience interaction at events and conferences) as well as the firm wide deployment of Jira and Confluence. The candidate will get exposure to a wide range of technologies and will work on industry-leading platforms. The candidate must have a passion for writing quality and testable code and enjoy working in a continuous delivery environment. He or she needs to be able to operate across the entire SDLC of product development, including requirements gathering; functional and technical design; development; user acceptance testing; release management; and production support. The candidate will mentor junior team members on full stack web development, and provide guidance on leveraging Java, SQL, and JavaScript libraries. He or she will manage multiple RESTful service libraries in the collaboration space and consult on best practices for design and development of web components. In addition, the candidate will be responsible for development work required in the Jira / Confluence space.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND QUALIFICATIONS

HOW YOU WILL FULFILL YOUR POTENTIAL• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field• Solid knowledge of Java (5 or more years of experience)• Must have at least three (3) years of experience with: HTML, CSS3, and JavaScript, including two (2) years of experience with modern frameworks such as React, SASS, Backbone, AngularJS, etc• Solid knowledge of RDMS (e.g. DB2, Sybase).• Experience developing and maintaining RESTful web services• Ability to work independently managing several large components or complex projects and work closely with other team members• Strong communication skills• Passion for growing your skills, coming up with solutions to interesting problems• Passion for growing your skills, coming up with solutions to interesting problems• Candidates should be creative, innovative, and self-motivated. Ideal candidates will have a history of high-quality execution and problem solvingSKILLS AND EXPERIENCE WE ARE LOOKING FOR• Knowledge of NoSQL DB (e.g. MongoDB)• Experience with administering and developing software team solutions on Atlassian tools especially Jira and Confluence• Experience writing custom plugins for Atlassian products• Experience with NLP technologies is a big plus• Experience with message brokers (e.g. Kafka, RabbitMQ)• Knowledge of Python and shell scriptingPreferred Qualifications
