Job Description

Position Title: Assistant Manager, Brand Activation - Baby Reports to: Manager, Brand Activation Location: Brampton, Ontario Job Summary: Works with the Brand Marketing Team developing the brand communication strategies for a product grouping(s) within a brand to build consumer demand and market share, grounded in deep consumer, product, and market understanding. Assist with new product launch, project management, product portfolio management and integrated brand activation plans, overseen by direct managers.Job Responsibilities: Activation• Executes against clear objectives for brand communication and can support the articulation the brand’s vision for short and long-term success.• Contributes to the delivering of marketing objectives and strategies for the upcoming year. Executes brand communications across brands, countries and regions with purposeful differentiation and reapplication based on portfolio and category strategies.Brand Stewardship• Activates brand activities in accordance to the brand identity and guidelines process i.e. consumer promotion materials, POS, regional PR materials.• Reviews regional communication and POS materials to ensure brand ID compliance.• Ensures marketing communications and marketing adaptations are on-strategy and consistent.Insights• Uses POS Data, Shopper and pricing research to develop and optimize activation plans.• Tracks brand metrics in region and ensures activation activity is aligned to metrics, takes corrective action when necessary.Product Portfolio Management• Supports recommendation on local portfolio assortment needs, product adaptations, and pricing strategy for new innovation launches.• Supports the regional launch activation plans that align with agreed upon success metrics. Plans developed after contract gate approval.New Product and Package Launch Support• Supports the execution of effective product launches in regions. Actively contributes to innovation plans once project contract is committed.• Leads language adaptations of new innovation packaging and launch support materials.• Responsible for providing input to global marketing on innovation programs that are relevant to the region including pricing and mix adaptation recommendations.Integrated Marketing Plan and Execution• Supports the global integrated marketing plan that meets the annual marketing objectives within the appropriate budget parameters and planning calendar.• Assists in developing the regional integrated marketing plan that meets the annual marketing objectives within the appropriate budget parameters and planning calendar.• Supports the development of global advertising briefs and advertising.• Supports aspects of global media plans including priority initiatives, investment allocation and activities to align with brand objectives.• Aids in tracking, measurement and optimizing plans as needed. Responsible for the implementation of effective integrated marketing programs on time and at an exceptional level of quality.Public Relations and Event Marketing• Conducts the monitoring of progress and optimization of PR plans.• Partners with agency to ensure all brand spokespersons are media trained and briefed with key messaging to support brand objectives.• Co-leads with global marketing the objectives, target consumer and measurements for end-user events.• Serves as the cross-functional leader across digital marketing, Social Media, Consumer Promotions and events.Promotions Planning• Supports with global development the defining of promotion strategies including brand objectives, target consumer and measurements.• Tracks the media and consumer promotion budgets.Project and Process Management• Serves as the key liaison between global marketing, customer marketing and trade marketing.• Oversees project timelines, deliverables and approval process, after project contract approval.Financial Management• Learn ROI analysis and tracks projects’ key performance indicators.
Qualifications:• Four-year College/University degree• Fluent in English (verbal and written)• 1+ years internship or work experience of marketing and/or general management ideally in brand management, channel management, or consumer insights for a CPG, durable, or professional products company.• Up to 10% travel requiredExperience• Internship or college experience working on cross-functional projects.• Strong communication skills, written and oral.• Proven ability to work on a team.• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
