Job Description

Global Commercial Services provides a range of Corporate Card Programs, Supplier Payments Solutions and other expense management tools to help mid-size companies and large corporations around the world manage all facets of their business spending. The US On-Boarding & Technology Solutions organization is responsible for the successful integration of new, and expansion of existing, customers within American Express Global Commercial Services. This organizataion has responsibility for delivering consultation and subject matter expertise during the sales cycle, negotiating agreements with customers post verbal win, project managing implementations and helping design and deploy technology solutions for our GCS customers.

This position is responsible for gathering, developing, maintaining, analyzing and communicating key performance metrics and reporting (periodic and ad-hoc). As a member of our team, you’ll be tasked with ensuring that our leadership and business partners are equipped with the right performance management information and actionable business intelligence aimed at improving on-boarding efficiency and performance at local, regional and global levels.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support critical activities including team coordination, communications and project management across the US Onboarding and Technology Solutions Team
  • Lead key projects on behalf of the US Onboarding and Technology Solutions Team that impact various parts of the organization
  • Synthesize strategic priorities and develop creative and impactful presentations for diverse audiences (e.g., Senior Executive meetings, employee Town Halls, partner events, external meetings etc.) Actively seek formal and informal feedback from leaders and employees to ensure maximum employee engagement and improve leadership effectiveness
  • Manage budgets across the team (e.g., Reward Blue, Contractor, OPEX)
  • Perform deep dive analyses on high priority topics
  • Lead employee initiatives and recognition programs
  • Manage relationships with key partners (Executive Office, HR, etc.)
  • Serve as key linkage and interface for the Leadership Team and direct reports to ensure critical business issues are raised and resolved in a timely manner
  • Respond to requests from key partners or other business units
Minimum Qualifications
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, energetic, positive, and resourceful
  • Strong oral and written communication skills, including proven ability to take complex information and translate it into clear communications (presentations/memos) for a variety of audiences, (e.g., senior management, colleagues).
  • Exceptional interpersonal, relationship, and influence management skills that allow for close partnerships with many different constituents; Team player who can build consensus and work across a large and diverse organization.
  • Highly motivated self-starter with the ability to juggle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment; Excellent organization skills and attention to detail are a must.
  • Proven ability to navigate effectively and efficiently within American Express.
  • Demonstrated composure under pressure and be flexible when faced with changing priorities.
  • Comfortable operating independently and within a high performing team environment
  • Capable of identifying and implementing process improvement, comfortable with challenging the status quo and driving change across the organization
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and execute across multiple initiatives independently and as part of a team
  • Strong aptitude in MS Office, especially PowerPoint and Excel
Employment eligibility to work with American Express in the U.S. is required as the company will not pursue visa sponsorship for this position.
