Associate Application Support Specialist

PlayStation HQ: San Mateo, CA

We have an exciting opportunity to join our Developer Technology Group (DTG) here at PlayStation HQ in San Mateo, CA. We seek an Associate Application Support Specialist that will provide timely support to the daily operation of our web-based developer portal application, DevNet.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide top quality T1 support for all DevNet application issues via our ticketing system, email (via webmaster), and/or phone
  • Triage through incoming PlayStation platform support tickets and dispatch them to appropriate DTG engineering teams
  • Support all DevNet application administration requests
  • Contribute to and maintain knowledge base of existing and new support processes
  • Onboard new DevNet application users and provide necessary training and documentation
  • Involved with developer communications (via news articles, bulletins, and/or forum posts)
  • Support, participate, & contribute to developer events and technical conferences
  • Regular communication and collaboration with DevNet application development team
  • Work with DTG management to collect DevNet metrics and analytics

Requirements:

  • Should have good observation and analysis skills in relation to issues
  • Can handle multiple queries and shows courtesy even in pressure situation
  • Knowledge about principles to provide customer satisfaction by meeting quality standards
  • Ability to learn and master PlayStation-specific software
  • Excellent complex problem-solving skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to diagnose & address application issues
  • Experience scripting in Python, JavaScript, & HTML5
  • Knowledge of and passion for gaming industry
  • Self-motivated, driven, and strong ownership
  • Excellent organizational skills and a keen attention to details

Preferred:

  • Experience working in application and/or technical support field
  • Knowledge of modern programming languages (C/C++)
  • Knowledge of modern source control software (SVN, Git, Perforce)
  • Knowledge of and passion for console game development
  • Expert understanding of MS Office and Google Drive (Docs, Sheets, & Slides)
  • BS degree in Computer Science and/or related field
