Perficient currently has opportunities for Lead HCL Commerce Sr Level Developers for our North America Practice. Openings in Toronto, CA; Allentown PA; or remote work anywhere in US or Eastern Canada.

Job Overview:

As Lead Commerce Developer you will participate in all aspects of the software development lifecycle which includes estimating, technical design, implementation, documentation, testing, deployment and support of application developed for our clients. As a member working in a team environment you will take direction from solution architects and Leads on development activities. This role will provide the candidate opportunites to lead workstreams as well as lead and mentor junior level developers.

Responsibilities

• Participate in technical planning & requirements gathering phases including Design, code, test, troubleshoot, and document engineering software applications.
• Ensuring that technical software development process is followed on the project, familiar with industry best practices for software development.
• Develop applications in languages including HCL (IBM) Commerce development.
• Demonstrate the ability to adapt and work with team members of various experience level.

Qualifications

• Passionate Full-Stack developer with 5-8 years of application development experience.
• Breadth of experience with eCommerce platforms specificially HCL (IBM) Websphere Commerce.
• Preferred experience with Microservices Architecture, SpringBoot framework, JAVA 1.7 to 1.8 or Higher, Web Services (both SOAP and REST), Angular, Hibernate
• Preferred UI knowledge and experience with REACT16, Redux, Material-UI, HTML5, CSS3, Styled-Components
• Strong debugging, problem solving and investigative skills. Ability to assimilate disparate information (log files, error messages etc.) and pursue leads to find root cause problems.
• Experience development streams with mininal oversight.
• Experience providing team technical leadership to junior level developers
• Ability to communicate complex technical issues to the project team and clients.
• Ability to work independently with minimal oversight.
• Experience with Agile/Scrum methodology.
• Self-starter who can work independently.
• Bachelor’s Degree in MIS, Computer Science, Math, Engineering or comparable major.
• Strong consulting and communication skills. Ability to work effectively with various organizations in pursuit of problem solutions.
