Job Description

Responsible for making customer contacts to sell or service products. Technical work involving a considerable amount of creativity, perception and initiative with wide latitude for independent action. Makes customer contacts to assist in ordering, selling and/or servicing product, with emphasis on the technical aspects.

  • Meet/exceed sales objectives through building business in the dealer service lane.
  • Educate, train and assist dealers in implementing processes for customer retention initiatives.
  • Work with dealers to improve profitability through marketing, merchandising and fixed operations consulting.
  • Maintain integration and interface with SSM zone team.
  • Communicate and ensure compliance to standards and policies.
  • Support dealer inventory management (RIM, obsolescence, returns).
  • Assist in dealer and customer problem resolution.
  • Eliminate warranty waste and implement sound warranty administration processes.
  • Track service portion of CSI to identify and address deficiencies.

Facilitate training of service personnel (technical and non-technical)

  • Work to improve dealer satisfaction in fixed operations
  • Cross-train team members as required
  • Technical knowledge of product
  • Good oral and written communications skills
  • High level of interpersonal skills to work effectively with others
  • Ability to conduct business meeting presentations
  • High level of sound logic and analytical ability where problems are unusual and complex

Requiredqualifications:

  • Experience working with GM dealership fixed operations department
  • Mobility is required for this position and all other future moves within the field organization.
  • Valid driver's license
  • College degree or equivalent experience

Preferred:

  • GM direct dealer contact experience
  • Work to improve dealer satisfaction in fixed operations.
