Senior Human Resources Generalist We have been on a transformative journey to become a leading SaaS organization over the last few years. Our leadership team has evolved, including bringing in new c-suite executives with a deep expertise across technology and product. We are seeking an experienced Human Resources Generalist and/or HR Business Partner to join our awesome team in the Vancouver office. In this role, you will collaborate closely with the HR team on employee relations and lead, support and develop exciting HR programs and initiatives that support the goals of the business. Responsibilities
- Provide guidance on human resource policies, practices, and programs to employees
- Work with the HR Manager and VP, People on employee relations across various departments on topics including:
- Employee life-cycle changes
- Career development
- Succession planning
- Performance management
- Departures (resignations and terminations)
- Conduct employee engagement surveys for current employees and exit interviews for departing employees
- Research, analyse and report on employee engagement and employee satisfaction
- Assist in research, development and lead the launch for new HR programs and projects
- Drive strategic direction of existing HR programs and projects with the HR Manager
- Execute on the annual bonus and compensation review process from launching the process with managers to finalising the data for payroll
- Work collaboratively with the corporate HR team to review, recommend and implement changes to HR processes to increase efficiency and consistency
- Lead immigration on matters as it relates to employees and their legal eligibility to work
- Assist in development and implementation of human resource policies
- Ensure accurate record keeping and compliance with all related regulatory guidelines
- Work on a variety of HR initiatives and projects as they arise
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in Human Resources, with the last 2 years in a generalist capacity with experience in the following areas:
- Directly worked with internal client groups as an advisor
- Worked with compensation data and dealt with conversations around compensation
- Managed performance and conflict resolution
- Worked on exit strategies and terminations
- Implemented and ran HR programs and initiatives
- Had exposure to immigration matters in Canada, US, and UK
- An HR-related diploma or degree, working towards a CPHR designation
- An in-depth understanding Canadian and US employment standards and HR practices
- Excellent time management, organizational skills and experience working in a fast-paced environment
- Data-driven and results-oriented approach to work and problem solving
- Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, able to communicate effectively with all levels of staff
- Able to prioritize multiple, concurrent responsibilities with ease
- Resourceful, curious and takes initiative with a positive attitude
- Experience in the technology and software industry is an asset
