Who You'll Work With

You will join the U.S. MBA Recruiting Team based in Chicago to drive all aspects of McKinsey’s recruiting efforts at two US business schools – Kellogg School of Management and University of Chicago Booth School of Business. You will split their time between the two schools and will work closely with the Kellogg and Booth lead recruiters, a team of consultants and global performance cells to hire the best talent – all while strengthening and developing McKinsey’s brand on campus. In addition to the U.S. MBA recruiting team, you will be an integral member of the Midwest recruiting team and the North American recruiting community.

What You'll Do

You will work with Chicago Booth and Kellogg lead recruiters to manage the consultant recruiting teams to develop and execute recruiting strategies for the two schools including all aspects of candidate identification, attraction, assessment, and in partnership with offices, and cultivationYou will serve as contact and counselor for a subset of Chicago Booth and Kellogg candidates throughout the entire recruiting cycle being highly responsive to their needs and inquiries You will manage McKinsey’s presence and reputation on campus by building relationships with Career Services contacts and maintain strong relationships with McKinsey’s global offices/practices (consultants and recruiters), advise on best approaches for focused activity on campus and ensure appropriate on-campus representation and engagement from participating offices/practices throughout recruiting life cycleAlongside the lead recruiters, you will also be responsible for tracking and analyzing recruiting results and disseminate all relevant information relating to Chicago Booth and Kellogg recruiting including developing annual analysis of recruiting results against historical and competitive benchmarks and identifying strategies to improve recruiting initiativesYou will work with the broader MBA recruiting team and global office and practice counterparts to continue to innovate McKinsey’s recruiting strategy

Qualifications

  • University degree required
  • Typically, 2-5 years of recruiting experience, with knowledge of professional services-based recruiting a strong plus
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
  • Strong strategic thinker – ability to see and manage to “the big picture” while driving impact on specific initiatives
  • Strong analytical/numerical ability, including high degree of comfort with Excel & Powerpoint
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication and teamwork skills; ability to build great relationships with candidates, consultants at all levels, and recruiting colleagues; a positive open attitude and a sense of fun
  • Proactive problem solver capable of identifying issues and generating solutions; desire and energy to continuously improve recruiting processes
  • Outstanding organizational skills, ability to coordinate multiple streams of work independently; exceptionally close attention to detail
  • Demonstrated initiative, judgment and maturity; track record as self-starter; mindful of external reputation; discreet, respectful and caring with confidential information
