Supply Chain Modeling and Optimization Manager
Locations: Eaton locations across EMEA (UK, France, Germany, Netherlands, Czech Republic, Poland, Hungary...)
Eaton is currently seeking a Supply Chain Modeling and Optimization Manager to join our team.
Our supply chain management team creates bottom-line impact by driving cost management and operational benefits. Within our supply chain, the Supply Chain Modeling and Optimization Manager supports the development and deployment of the Supply Chain Design Center of Excellence strategy at Eaton. In this role, you will help build a fully standalone center of excellence by establishing the initial set of standard processes and guidelines and developing supply chain network models for our key initiatives.
This role will help make data-based large-scale Supply Chain decisions with a Total Cost of Ownership approach (quality, delivery, freight, cost of capital, inventory) by using LLamasoft Supply Chain Guru to perform Network, Transportation, Production and Inventory Optimization and Simulation.
The Supply Chain Modeling and Optimization Manager will leverage synergies across businesses and drive the “One Supply Chain” philosophy to maximize results within and across businesses.

Your key deliverables:
• Develop supply chain network models using LLamasoft Supply Chain Guru to perform Network, Transportation and Inventory Optimization and Simulation
• Manage & prioritize a pipeline of global initiatives: scope projects, identify resource requirements, articulate deliverables, develop timelines, coordinate project activities, communicate with project team • Analyze and document project objectives, requirements, and approach
• Develop standard models for large Direct Materials commodities, to evaluate impact of sourcing reliability, volume fluctuations, and supplier footprint.
• Develop inventory optimization models using Inventory Guru – able to dynamically update parameters and responses to different scenarios
• Work directly with internal stakeholders and business leaders to understand business objectives, identify data requirements, and formulate strategies that yield value
• Present recommendations and project results to key stakeholders and decision makers: excellent verbal and presentation skills are required (English).
• Identify opportunities for improvement, solution alternatives, and calculate benefits to the end-to-end supply chain
• Develop innovative solutions leveraging internal tools, knowledge, and best practice sharing across teams and functions
• Develop close working relationship with internal stakeholders and functional leads, through outstanding project execution and communication
• Be responsive to internal requests and requirements while keeping overall project target, objectives and timeline in mind
• You will present your findings at multiple levels of seniority within the organization and recommend best-fit solutions based on the rigor of the supply chain modeling process – coupled with the execution feasibility within the business in scope.
What we are looking for:
• Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Supply Chain Management, or Logistics or Industrial Engineering from an accredited institution
• Relevant years of professional experience in Supply Chain optimization and modeling
• Professional experience in a global business environment preferred.
• Professional experience of manufacturing optimization initiatives
Technical knowledge
• Relevant supply chain experience, in one or more the following fields:
• Strategic network design and optimization
• Inventory Optimization/Simulation
• Transportation Optimization
• Process and material flow optimization
• Production, Inventory or Transportation Planning
• Experience working cross-functionally among the entire supply chain is preferred
• Knowledge of common logistics standard processes and IT systems
• Advanced skill with MS Office suite, especially Excel, Access and MS PowerPoint
• Knowledge of LLamasoft Supply Chain Guru and Data Guru software is required
