Job Description

Responsible for guiding the conceptual development and copy of a client(s) traditional and digital direct response products. Recommends and executes work for their area of responsibility and anticipates its impact. Develop work that is conceptually rich and performance-driven to achieve marketing/strategic goals, while satisfy branding requirements of individual clients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage creative staff and freelance to ensure their work meets the agency standards, including the ability to clearly articulate feedback and provide constructive oversite that elevates the creative product. Ability to understand an assignment from a Creative Brief and turn print/digital experiences into exciting, innovative executions.
  • Collaborate with Account Executives and team members to identify questions and pertinent project information needed to execute assignments.Work with Creative Director, creative team members and client teams to create appropriate, workable ways to express and enhance the client’s communication needs.
  • Know all pertinent industry, client and product information, such as offer description, product features, product functionality, customer benefits and client brand guidelines including voice, tone and legal mandatories (®, TM, ©), etc.
  • Meet all timelines and deliver executions for Creative Directors, account staff and client review per project schedules.
  • Develop and implement creative, technical and conceptual copy solutions which will meet client objectives.
  • Leverage direct response best practices to help our clients reach their strategic and targeting goals.
  • Responsible for current knowledge and understanding of emerging trends and technologies, and the ability to institute best practices for print and digital marketing products.
  • Work with Creative Directors, Senior Team members and client teams to create appropriate, workable ways to express and enhance the client’s communication needs.
  • Guide the creative and account teams through creative conception, execution of concepts and departmental processes.
  • Show ability in creating and executing fresh, innovative concepts that enhance response strategies and achieve client objectives.

Qualifications

Key Skills and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in copywriting, advertising, communication.
  • Minimum of ten years of professional copywriting experience.
  • Health Care vertical market experience required. Health Insurance and Medicare
  • experience is preferred.
  • Excellent written, verbal and conceptual communication skills.
  • Knowledge of principles and practices for all print and digital channels, including direct mail. Portfolio examples of direct mail campaigns are required.
  • Ability to meet aggressive deadlines and juggle multiple priorities.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to mentor others in creative department.
  • Ability to work on a team, maintain a positive and professional demeanor, and accept constructive criticism in a mature manner.
  • Self-motivation and a positive interaction with a wide range of individuals is expected.
  • Demonstration of a willingness to work toward the goals and success of the organization as a whole.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word and PowerPoint.
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office.
