Overview

The role is a direct, high-touch sales position. The person in this role is responsible for the recruitment, enablement, and development of new, vertically focused OEM customers partnerships in a variety of different verticals including potentially healthcare, manufacturing, hospitality, transportation and logistics, energy/utilities, and state & local government. In addition, this person will drive the OEM strategy for the assigned vertical and ensure we have the right partners to effectively advance our OEM portfolio of solutions into the assigned vertical / segment. The success of the role will be measured on a combination of Design Activity, Design Wins, OEM revenue, and the ability to collaborate effectively. This is a strategic role—fulfilling the “trusted advisor” role.

This remote-based role can be based in California (ideally Bay area) or in/around Chicago, Illinois so long as there is a willingness to cover a western territory. ~ 50% travel will be expected to cover CA, OR and WA.

Responsibilities

  • Identify, qualify and develop new business opportunities including net new client acquisition.
  • Represent Zebra as the OEM solutions expert to all industries served by Zebra in the assigned geography.
  • Clearly articulate Zebra value proposition and influence decision makers to design OEM products into the end users product portfolio.
  • Build and execute a sales plan for strategic territory accounts in the assigned geography
  • Meet and exceed quarterly and annual sales quota by creating sales opportunities in the assigned geography
  • Accurately and frequently forecast business and maintain a sufficient pipeline of opportunities and design win activity
  • Develop and conduct deal reviews for cross-functional teams and partners
  • Travel within assigned territory (CA, OR, WA) at least 50%
  • Continuously remained informed and educated about Zebra solutions, products, industry trends and related technologies

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or equivalent experience
  • 5 + years of applicable B2B sales experience specifically in a territory development, business development, hunter-type role
  • Solid track record of performance against revenue metrics (revenue & profitability)
  • Familiarity with tech sales
  • Current/previous OEM experience a plus, but not required
  • Disciplined to work remotely
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills
