THE OPPORTUNITY:

Reporting to the VP Brand in a new and pivotal Brand Marketing Management function, you will play a key role in managing our current portfolio of brands and will support the evolution of our brand strategy to position the company for significant future growth. You will help drive efforts to build a deeper consumer understanding, develop our brand platform, champion our brand across the company, ensure integrated brand delivery across touchpoints, and create fresh content to authentically tell our brand story.

The Brand Marketing Manager will work closely with partners across the company to ensure consistent, integrated delivery on the brand promise, best practices, messaging and visual guidelines. You will manage planning, execution and management of brand marketing initiatives. You will be the primary source of expertise on the competitive environment, our target consumer audience, and our reputation and relevance within the landscape. You will expand our current customer insights initiatives and will synthesize and communicate insights across the organization.

THE ROLE

  • Champion the Freedom Financial Network brand strategy and messaging framework across all solutions, touchpoints, experiences, messaging, marketing and product initiatives.
  • Expand existing brand, visual and messaging guidelines, identifying and addressing strategic and executional gaps. Educate and communicate the guidelines to partners company-wide. Ensure consistent delivery against the guidelines -- both in messaging and visual execution.
  • Partner with functions across the company -- including marketing, creative, product, communications, content, business development, customer service, and sales -- to advocate for and ensure consistent delivery on the brand promise. Identify opportunities and drive prioritization and execution of brand-driven initiatives across the organization.
  • Serve as the brand owner, central point person and internal client for Creative, Product, and Research functions and teams working on brand-related projects.
  • Lead brand reputation management initiatives -- monitor Freedom Financial Network’s brand reputation online and develop and execute on brand offense and defense programs.
  • Develop and execute strategic brand-building processes, systems, and initiatives.
  • Deepen our understanding of our target consumer audience. Define and lead consumer insights initiatives to gather, synthesize and leverage key consumer learnings.
  • Develop, nurture and amplify client success stories as a key component of telling the Freedom Financial Network brand story in communications, consumer journeys, and experiences.
  • Monitor, analyze, and report on the competitive environment in terms of existing and new competitors and their value propositions, positioning, and messaging. Articulate implications and develop strategic recommendations informed by competitive intelligence.
  • Develop, distribute and maintain compelling and consistent brand messaging and materials -- for both consumer and key non-consumer audiences -- across the organization.
  • Develop methodologies and processes to monitor and report on brand-related KPI’s including NPS, customer satisfaction, brand awareness, familiarity and brand attributes.

REQUIREMENTS / CHARACTERISTICS

Candidate qualifications:

  • 7+ years of relevant experience in brand strategy, brand marketing, and creative execution
  • Experience working with consumer brands -- service-oriented brands in particular
  • Working knowledge/fluency in market research, content marketing, SEO, communications, or product marketing
  • Motivated and inspired by building mission-driven brands
  • Thrive in a highly collaborative and interdependent environment -- you are energized by making great things happen working with other people across the company
  • Extremely strong communication skills -- presentations, written, and verbal
  • Highly organized with experience creating and implementing processes; strong project management skills
  • MBA preferred
