Your challenge

Work with the experienced Architects in the Chief Architects Office as well as architects in Philips businesses and platforms. Cover a diversity of architectural topics across the entire Philips portfolio of products and platforms, advancing the Philips vision on Heathcare. Learn to drive and communicate architecture on business strategic level.

Identify and drive new platform needs, based on a deep understanding of Philips products and customer needs.

Your responsibilities

• Proposing architectural choices to shape and detail the HealthSuite Reference Architecture, keeping a keen eye on non-functional requirements.
• Contributing to documented architecture topics: creating well-defined building blocks / options & scenarios, choosing the optimal architecture, bringing to bear technology and roadmaps.
• Technology selections, comparisons and scoping for both internal and external software assets.
• Ensuring a solid, up-to-date and usable documentation of the architecture; establishing architecture lifecycle management.
• Acting and building relations across business and organizations while seeking for convergence, connecting the dots.
• Remaining up-to-date with regard to professional knowledge.

Your team

The Chief Architects Office defines and governs the HealthSuite Reference Architecture for Philips and drives the evolution of platforms that implement the HealthSuite Reference Architecture as well as the Philips product portfolio to adopt the HealthSuite Reference Architecture and its supporting platforms. As such it covers the full Philips product portfolio of devices and informatics solutions in Image Guide Therapy, Precision Diagnostics, Connected Care and Personal Health.

Given the profound impacts of the digital transformation healthcare, the broadness of the Philips product portfolio, the need to coordinate across organizations and the geographical distribution of activities, the Chief Architects Office provides a challenging and exciting environment.

We are looking for

• Master’s Degree and relevant experience with 10 plus years of progressive related work experience, preferably in an architect role in a product engineering context, preferably in a healthcare company.
• Proven teamwork, including ability to work effectively across organizational and geographical boundaries, building bridges between teams.
• Demonstrated experience of influencing development teams in a global, multi-location organization.
• Excellent communication skills and proven track record for developing high-trust relationships.
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
• Multiyear experience covering multiple domains, complex systems (e.g. distributed systems), and multiple technology areas.
• Ability to deal with uncertainties and self-educate on new topics.
• Ability to make complicated problems simple and distill the essence required for making choices.
