In this role, you have the opportunity to

Join our highly skilled production team at Philips Oral Healthcare in Ontario, CA. As an Assembler 1, you will be loading materials into production machines, removing, packing and sorting raw materials or finished products, collecting and disposing production waste, and cleaning production equipment and work areas.

You are responsible for

  • Following defined procedures and guidelines to conduct machine operation/assembly of oral care kits as well as label application.
  • Equipment operator for syringe, bottle filing and brush head assembly equipment.
  • Participates in the set-up of production line to assemble products with quality to comply with our customers regulations.
  • Support team lead to train production personnel of assembly line assigned, through on-the-job training.
  • Follow daily standard work to ensure consistency and discipline.
  • Carries out daily 6’s audits according to program.
  • Verifies components kit are a match against the work order.
  • Once trained must be able to work on different assembly lines.
  • Participates in the continues improvement culture by submitting Kaizens in safety, productivity and other improvements to reduce waste.
  • Input the required data work orders, scrapping parts, and recording defective components.

You are a part of supporting production and new product development for high impact results helping to achieve our mission of delivering consistent high quality, safe and effective, regulatory compliant products and services.

To succeed in this role, you should have the following skills and experience

  • US work authorization is a precondition of employment. The company will not consider candidates who require sponsorship for a work-authorized visa.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Able to do simply mathematical operations.
  • Must be able to flex schedule to accommodate production needs when requested.
  • Must have strong attention to detail.
  • Must have the abilities for color distinction and hand agility.
  • Ability to communicate in English, verbally and written.
  • Must have previous experience working in a regulated medical device manufacturing environment.
  • Must be able to stand up most of the 8-hour shift, requires to use PPE to perform certain tasks, lifting of no more than 30 pounds, some pulling and pushing.
