    The Small Business & Self Employed Group (“SBSEG”) is Intuit’s largest business unit with ~$3B+ in revenue, serving 6M+ customers with the QuickBooks line of products including accounting, payments, payroll and financing solutions. The US SBSEG Finance team is critical in driving business growth and profitability through strategic, financial and operational leadership.

    Responsibilities

    We are looking for a passionate data leader to drive quantitative analysis in supporting the $1B+ QuickBooks Online offering and reporting to the US Online Sr. Finance Manager. Main responsibilities include:

    • Strategic planning via statistical analysis : Understand current online ecosystem and long-term trends (e.g. ARPC, retention, lifetime value), proactively highlighting risk and opportunities related to business growth and drive optimal investment decisions through statistical and econometric analytical techniques.
    • Driving operational execution : Partner with data engineering, analytics and marketing to define key performance indicators and develop how they are captured to drive insights and decision making in order to achieve our strategic and financial goals.
    • Modeling: Partner with financial analysts to improve forecast accuracy through incorporating fundamental business and market trends.
    • Ensuring data integrity: Diagnose root causes behind identified gaps in data and processes, spanning multiple systems and data warehouses
    • Process improvement : Drive efficiencies and continuous improvement by streamlining, standardizing and automating processes and reporting requirements
    • Team coaching : Proactively influencing, leading & educating within the Finance organization and cross-functional teams on actionable insights

    Qualifications

    You are a data leader, with strong analytical and modeling skills and a deep SaaS understanding. You also have demonstrable experience of acting as a business partner, supporting and challenging non-finance stakeholders. As this role involves constant interaction with senior non-finance stakeholders across the business, you need the confidence and emotional intelligence to effectively communicate at all levels. The ideal candidate has worked in the high-tech industry and enjoys operating in an extremely fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.

    · 3-5 years of analytics experience applying quantitative analysis, econometric techniques, and experimental design to problem-solve business challenges

    · Advanced Proficiency in Microsoft Excel to analyze complex business scenarios by building/improving financial models. Tableau and Hyperion EssBase experience preferred.

    · Demonstrable experience applying data science techniques preferred (predictive, modeling & analytical) to practical business problems.

    · Proficient with SQL and at least one scripting language used in analytics (ideally Python); understanding of software development best practices strongly preferred.

    · Highly motivated, self-starter with ability to work independently in a fast pace environment, simultaneously manage several priorities, and challenge the status quo to lead change and operational improvements.

    · Understanding of SaaS business dynamics (cohorted retention, ARPC, LTV/CAC) preferred.

    · Hacker mindset – no matter how messy data is, if there is a way, you’ll figure it out.

    · Entrepreneurial and curious mindset - passionate about business and data, and constantly thinking about opportunities and risks others have not yet thought about.

    · Ability to influence all levels of leadership to drive actions, behaviors, decisions and business outcomes

    · Exceptional track record of self-motivation, prioritization, initiative, and integrity

    · Strong communication skills with both technical and non-technical colleagues, and translating between the two.

    · BS/BA in Quantitative discipline or equivalent experience. Masters in a quantitative discipline preferred.
