M Health Fairview has an immediate opening for a Medical Assistant to provide professional, quality care to patients in the ambulatory setting.

Join the M Health Fairview Roselawn Clinic in a Primary Care setting! As a member of the care team, the Medical Assistant supports quality patient and family centered care principles through performing a variety of high level functions within a care team to support the needs of the healthcare team and patients/families.

Clinic Hours:

Monday-Friday 8AM to 5PM

This is a 0.8 FTE (64 hours per two week pay period), benefits-eligible opening and a $3000 New-Hire Bonus is offered!

Responsibilities/Job Description

To be successful the Medical Assistant must:

• Room patients, take vitals and health history, document in an electronic medical record, give injections and assist with minor procedures
• Gather information and documents to support the patient visit
• Be responsible for adhering to all policies, procedures and practice guidelines
• Promote teamwork with all members of the health care team
• Maintain complete, timely and accurate clinical documentation for each patient and continually looking for opportunities to improve processes and workflow

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

• License Practical Nurse (LPN) through the MN Board of Nursing
• Current certification by the AAMA or AMT or able to obtain within 6 months of hire
• Current BLS certification required upon hire

Preferred Qualifications:

• Previous experience in a clinic setting
• Willingness and ability to work at other locations
