As a Solution Strategist, you will serve as the solution designer and technical contact for solutions within the Product Management organization. The Solution Strategist will be responsible for analyzing the system capability and SPS platform capabilities, with the primary goal of creating reusable solutions for customers. They can combine external information with knowledge and experience to solve complex problems. Identifying what needs to be done in ambiguous situations and doing it before being asked or being required to by the situation is key. They have a “roll up the sleeves” attitude; proactive in looking for and seizing profitable business opportunities; ability to thrive in a high growth, fast pace environment.

The Day-to-Day

• Design and manage solution-development projects through a combination of system analysis, specification and interpretation, EDI strategies and execution of service.
• Couple system knowledge with SPS capabilities to design solution meeting the requirements of a scalable product.
• Align with internal and external resources for designing and enhancing SPS and Partner solutions.
• Complete project activities on time, and proactively identifies and communicates issues that may jeopardize milestones or project budget to the client and where necessary escalating to the Product Manager.
• Serves as the primary technical (EDI) contact for the account, including facilitating all necessary communications internally and with external stakeholders.
• Collaborate with other team members and other areas within the Company to support SPS Commerce’s strategy and process.
• Manage solutions management activities as needed to maintain solution and relationship alignment.
• Leverage that market understanding to better inform day to day tradeoffs of features and timing.
• Manage and refine requirements-gathering effort on the epics as needed – consulting with product management, prospects, customers, and other stakeholders.
• Respond to questions from developers and clarify requirements related to voice of customer (VOC) and business requirements.

What skills and experience do I need to be successful?

• Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 2 years of related experience; or an advanced degree without experience; or equivalent work experience.
• Travel required up to 10%
