The vision of QuickBooks Online Advanced is to build solutions which work, uninterrupted and consistently, end-to-end across their businesses.     QuickBooks Online Advanced provides an advantage for these growing and more complex businesses at an attractive price point, filling a gap not yet met in the market. Built on an open platform, businesses have access to hundreds of third-party applications, such as online bill pay and inventory management, that can easily be added and custom fit to meet their needs. QuickBooks disrupts and innovates by delivering a flexible solution that is tailor-made for businesses at this stage of growth, versus rigid mid-market software that over-serve with the wrong functionality.

    As a Product Manager for QuickBooks Online Advanced, you’ll be responsible for developing customer and market analysis of Financial Management Software across top industry verticals worldwide. You will translate actionable insights into product requirements for the mid-market organization, create compelling content for executive presentations and conduct feature and pricing comparisons across the industry. This role will partner closely with Product Management, Marketing, Sales and Customer Care.

    Responsibilities

    • Deliver competitive insights and make recommendations on differentiated product requirements and positioning for QuickBooks Online Advanced.
    • Understand industry accounting processes and how they translate into requirements for product features and integrations.
    • Being the team’s subject matter expert on mid-market competitive landscape.
    • Work closely with the QuickBooks Online Advanced Product and Marketing teams to understand QuickBook’s competitive advantages.
    • Build high empathy for our mid-market customers according to their vertical / industry.
    • Support Product Managers in the identification and prioritization of requirements through the lens of an industry vertical.
    • Support Product Marketing Managers in identifying where opportunities for commercialization exist.
    • Collaborate with Product, Marketing and Insights teams on research projects intended to clarify opportunity sizing.
    • Support the team in the development of sales enablement and demo content (e.g. events, tradeshows and webinars) by ensuring messaging, language and workflows reflect how customers in priority industries would talk about them.

    Qualifications

    • 5+ years of experience in competitive intelligence, research, or product marketing, a portion of which ideally in a global enterprise software company
    • Strong cross functional collaboration skills; well-honed influencing and negotiating skills; able to communicate effectively across all levels of an organization
    • Excellent problem-solving and project management skills with the ability to manage multiple deadlines
    • Strategic thinker with the ability to synthesize information from multiple sources into relevant, understandable and actionable insights for different stakeholders
    • Strong investigative talents and research skills; skilled in insight generation; outstanding quantitative and analytical skills
    • Proven ability to analyze markets, products and competitors and translate information into actionable intelligence
    • Excellent written and verbal skills along with the ability to quickly create meaningful visuals and collateral
    • Demonstrated ability to strategize, communicate and build alignment on concepts from ideation to execution
    • Ability to multitask, prioritize and problem solve; can work independently, be self-reliant and self-motivated
