Providence is calling for a Behavioral Health Operations Manager (Full time 1.0 FTE, Day Shift) to Providence St. Peter Hospital in Olympia, WA.

We are seeking a Behavioral Health Clinic Manager that will provide ongoing leadership for the development and implementation of management and patient care systems to assure cost-effective and quality operations of the clinic to provide an optimal patient experience. A Behavioral Health Clinic Manager will lead staff to ensure that patient care services are provided in a timely manner and are sensitive to the patient's physical, psychological, and spiritual needs. A Behavioral Health Clinic Manager will ensures compliance with established clinical policies and procedures. A Behavioral Health Clinic Manager will participate in organization-wide special projects, committees or task forces as requested. A Behavioral Health Clinic Manager will performs all duties in a manner which promotes team concept and reflects the mission, philosophy and values of Providence.

In this position you will have the following responsibilities:

  • Promote understanding of and commitment to organization mission, vision and core values.
  • Provide overall leadership within a rapidly changing competitive behavioral health care market place. Manage the daily operations of the support staff in the clinic, including access, scheduling, patient flow, telephones, information systems, medical records and patient care. Develop and implement day-to-day management strategies for effective and efficient clinic operations. Apply resourceful in-the -moment problem solving skills.
  • Oversee quality and behavioral health management programs for the clinic. Insure compliance with programs and provide recommendations on operating policy changes. Identify processes and procedures that will insure meeting clinic quality metrics and business goals. Successfully navigate issues that impact/effect providers/clinicians, clinic operations, clinic compliance and business goals with an understanding of the correlation and impact. Exhibits quality focus and active involvement in improvement of work processes. Employs learned methods for achieving improved outcomes.
  • Develop and maintain departmental quality management program in accordance with organizational guidelines which exceed community standards, including compliance with all laws, regulations and requirements of appropriate licensing and accrediting bodies. Maintain knowledge of work-appropriate aspects of environment of care programs, comply with policies and report unsafe conditions.
  • Demonstrate service excellence and positive interpersonal relations in dealing with others, including patients/families, caregivers, managers, medical staff, volunteers and community members, so that productivity and positive relations are maximized.
  • Demonstrates appreciation of team strength in meeting customers’ needs and displays personal behavior that has a positive impact and example for the team.

Qualifications:

Preferred qualifications for this position include:

  • Bachelor's Degree -OR- equivalent education/experience (2 years' experience in a supervisory position. Previous clinic supervision experience preferred)
  • Experience developing relationships within an integrated delivery system.
  • Minimum 2 years experience in a supervisory position. Previous clinic supervision experience.
  • Knowledge of health care environment, behavioral health office policies and procedures, general accounting procedures and human resource management practices.
  • Knowledge of Practice Management Systems and Electronic Medical Records.
