OUR IMPACT

Equities Execution Services (EES) is part of Securities Division Operations (SDO) and is responsible for post trade risk management for cash equity trades executed by Institutional Clients (pension funds, blue chips etc.) and providing best-in-class client service. EES partner with and support the Firm’s high and low touch cash equity Businesses and their associated execution desks which include

Goldman Sachs Electronic Trading (GSET), Pan European Shares (PES) and Program Trading. In addition, EES are responsible for risk managing all cash equity executions stemming from the IBD deal flow which include new issues and accelerated book offerings. There is a close working relationship between EES and IBD Operations.

The Global Cash Equities business is focused on revenue growth and is actively building out low touch electronic execution capabilities. EES are playing a key role in executing this strategy by developing strategic post trade flows and systems which enable scalable and STP processing.

BUSINESS UNIT OVERVIEW

Bengaluru EES Trade Management is responsible for the real-time risk management and processing of cash equity trades post execution. Risk is primarily managed through the allocations and confirmation process together with pre-matching. The Team pro-actively manage and mitigate risk stemming from sensitive and emerging markets such as buy-in and fail penalties as well as corporate action events. The Team has a high level of Client and Business interaction and has formed an active partnership with relationship managers to improve the client experience and help grow client relationships. In addition EES actively partners with Settlement Ops to assist with equity inventory management and owns the pre-matching and fails management of trades on the IBD flows.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND QUALIFICATIONS

JOB SUMMARY AND RESPONSBILITIES

• Client Service: providing best-in-class client service by ensuring maintenance of service level agreements (SLAs), pro-actively managing client queries and taking ownership of client escalation.
• Risk Management: responsible for real-time risk monitoring of cash equities executions and pro-active escalation. This will involve day-to-day oversight of production process, producing and reviewing risk reporting and acting as first point of escalation for the Team. Expectation is that strong relationships are developed with the business and downstream operations teams.
• Projects and Initiatives: working on projects and initiatives to improve efficiency, enhance client service and further develop EES risk management capabilities
• Problem Solving: partnering with Trading Desks and Clients to investigate and resolve trade and cash discrepancies to ensure efficient matching of trades.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

• Years of experience: 1 to 3 years
• Execution Focus: proven ability to execute on production and project work
• Risk Management: knowledge of financial and operational risk together with frameworks, tools and methods to pro-actively manage risk.
• Client Service: has a client service mindset and understands what it means to deliver gold standard client service.
• Communication: strong written and verbal communication and an ability to communicate technical information in a simple way.

• Ability to handle a fast paced environment making quick and effective decisions
