General Mills, Inc. is seeking a full-time Brand Manager at our offices in Minneapolis, MN. This position will own a rolling 2-year brand plan and assess, select, develop and oversee execution of strategies for brands that drive sustainable brand growth and deliver financial forecast (Net Sales & Profit). This position requires a Master’s degree or equivalent in Business Administration, Marketing, or related field and 3 years of marketing experience with a Consumer-Packaged Goods (CPG) company. Must also have 3 years of experience in each of the following: (1) leveraging consumer, customer and category insights to develop a 2-year strategy, including a Long-Range Plan, for a consumer food/beverage brand that includes product innovation and renovation pipelines; (2) setting communications objectives and strategy for media and advertising agencies to develop media and in-store plans; (3) overseeing brand forecasting and budgeting, including holistic management of cost reduction projects and consumer promotion budgets, to ensure business delivers on P&L goals and Operating Unit objectives; (4) leading pricing strategy and trade mechanics for a consumer food/beverage brand that includes multiple products by assessing category and competitive dynamics to develop a strategy that delivers financial performance objectives through pricing and trade; (5) developing a cross-channel growth strategy for a food/beverage brand through a network of retail customers; and (6) leading cross functional team in new product development and renovation projects from white space ideation to launch. Working with consumer insights to deliver consumer driven strategies and product ideas. Working with R&D, finance, operations, and sales to bring ideas to market. Employer will accept experience gained before, during or after Master’s program. The Brand Manager directly manages at least two marketing/brand subordinates. Travel required up to 25% of the time.
