As a member of Airbnb Worldwide Sales Platform and Global Connectivity Partnership Team, you will be managing API partner relationships with strategic supply partners, i.e. Vacation Rental Management Companies and Property Managers or Host Management Companies directly connected to Airbnb via our API. You will be responsible for optimizing strategic partnerships to help us drive forward Airbnb vision and sales strategy. You will be reporting to the Regional Partner Management Lead in EMEA.
Responsibilities
- Own the business and connectivity relationship with European-wide Vacation Rental Management Companies and Property Managers or Host Management Companies directly connected to Airbnb .
- Account manage key VRMC API partners and continuously improve partner integrations through rolling out and ramping new API features among EMEA VRMC API partners, and ensuring high adoption rates among VRMC partners by supporting the technical implementation of these on the partner side in cooperation with Airbnb’s Partner Integration Team and Technical Consulting team, as well as maintaining a close feedback loop with our API product and engineering teams.
- Drive supply penetration with relevant supply across EMEA by developing and implementing sustainable acquisition & onboarding campaigns on the partner level.
- Optimize supply from existing VRMC API partnerships focusing on conversion and utilization metrics by ensuring supply is high-quality, competitively priced and offers maximum availability for Airbnb’s guests.
- Propose and implement incentivization schemes for commercial scaling of the VRMC partnership on the API partner level.
- Make Quarterly Business Reviews with the key partners and cover internal reporting to key stakeholders.
- Identify key blockers and levers that can significantly impact VRMC API partnerships success and esp. cross-listed supply in destination markets and work to address with key internal stakeholders and cross functional teams.
- Communicate key learnings to the wider territory and regional team
- Advocate for and pioneer innovative features for VRMC API partnerships to ensure Airbnb provides a world-class hosting platform for VRMCs
Requirements
- Min. 8 years of professional experience, of which at least 2 should be in a sales role at a fast growing tech startup.
- 2+ years of hospitality/travel software experience or similar role in another OTA is a must.
- Proven track record of being able to effectively manage a book of business.
- Technically savvy (e.g. experience with XML and REST APIs is a plus).
- Profound relationship management skills leading to sustainable, fast-scaling, and world-class implemented technical and commercial partnerships
- Excellent written and verbal English language communication skills (must-have). German language communication skills are a plus.
- Strong time management and prioritization skills.
- The ability to get things done with constantly changing priorities, projects and deadlines.
- Available to travel to assigned markets ~25%.
- Passion for Airbnb, travel, and the sharing economy - being an Airbnb host is a plus.
- Position will be preferably based in Berlin (or Barcelona).
