Job Description:
The Sterling program is a special access program which provides ground system development, integration, operations and sustainment. Sterling is seeking talented software engineers to join our Development team. The Software Architect will develop software designs and prototype software in a highly dynamic environment.
The candidate must be a US Citizen who has a current US Government DoD Top Secret / Special Compartment Information / Single Scope Background Investigation
Required Skills:
• United States Citizen
• Active TS/SCI SSBI level
• Minimum 6 years working experience in object-oriented software design and development
• Experience performing the entire software lifecycle (preliminary design through maintenance phases) using Agile or DevOPS development approaches
• Software architecture experience

• Knowledge of C++/Java application design
• Docker usage/design for application containerization
• Kubernetes:
  • Basic Understanding of the architecture components
  • Understanding of internal / external communications paths for K8s clusters
  • Understanding of Kubernetes security – including software interfaces, PKI, user authentication

Desired Skills:
• Ground station design and development
Required Education (including Major):
Bachelor of Science, BS in Computer Science, Aerospace Engineering, Physics, Math with a minimum of 6 years of relevant experience.
Bonus Information:
This position is eligible for a Sign on Bonus up to $40K for a candidate with a current TS/SCI that can be verified and hired at Raytheon.
