Job Description

What you’ll be doing...

You will be responsible for supporting recruitment activities for the EMEA Talent Acquisition Group, with focus on our DACH region. You’ll be responsible for delivering staffing needs as identified by the Lead Recruitment Business Partners across various functions and also other geographies.

You will be involved in the end-to-end recruitment process including; client customer meetings, screening and identifying candidates, managing offer and on-boarding process.

  • Identify recruitment strategies to solidify Verizon’s commitment to acquire and develop a diverse workforce, including internal top talent mobility.
  • Execute full life cycle recruitment: sourcing through to day one.
  • Obtain guidance from management and senior-level team members as necessary in order to provide strategic staffing support to assigned client base.
  • Develop and maintain a network of outside contacts including recruiters, agencies, and professional organizations to help identify and source qualified candidates.
  • Attend career fairs and other community and professional recruitment events to pipeline talent.
  • Utilize a variety of resources to source candidates including: job boards, cold calls, creative online searches, internal job posting site, and employee referral program.
  • Conduct telephone and in-person interviews to evaluate applicants and refer qualified candidates to the hiring manager.
  • Confer with hiring manager and Lead Recruitment Business Partners to determine most qualified candidate; compile, negotiate, and extend offer to the selected individual.
  • Ensure that applicant records and statistics are properly maintained; ensure that all phases of the employment process are in full, legal compliance.
  • Compile reports, make recommendations on continuous improvement efforts, and track effectiveness of sourcing methods.
  • Assist in meeting talent acquisition metrics including cost per hire, time to fill, interview per hire ratio and diversity.

What we’re looking for...

You’ll need to have:

  • Bachelor’s degree or relevant work experience.
  • Experience recruiting in a corporate and/or agency recruiting environment.
  • Fluency in German and English.
  • Knowledge of recruiting policies and practices.

Even better if you have:

  • Ability to build relationships, recruit candidates, build pipelines and influence selection decisions.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong negotiation skills.
  • Experience of candidate attraction through various media options.
