We are looking forward to Operations Supervisor in Eaton’s Hydraulics business, based in New Castle, NSW.

This exciting role is responsible for planning, organizing and coordinating the site operational activities of the Hydraulic Centre in which they are responsible.
Your essential responsibilities:
- Organise daily operational activities of the Hydraulic Centre
- Liaise with the Sales Team and other internal functions to determine pricing, establish delivery priorities, resolve supply issues and communicate with customers as appropriate, in a proactive and customer focused manner
- Evaluate problems, determine and initiate appropriate actions and provide necessary information relative to product application, orders, delivery schedules and availability by maintaining close contact and a harmonious relationship with customers, suppliers and internal personnel
- Manage employees (including contractors) ensuring company policies are observed at all times
- Supervises the receipt and storage of equipment, materials, merchandise and similar items in the Hydraulic Centre. Ensure that items are appropriately marked or tagged for identification purposes. Inventory and company assets to be maintained and accurately recorded
- Determine customer requirements on hose kits including safe configuration of each hose kit to meet Eaton quality standards. Assess the condition and completeness of product used in hose assemblies
- Manage the accurate picking and shipping of customer orders and prepare freight documents based on nominated carriers. As required investigate and respond to inquiries regarding distribution and shipping
- Ensure that all shipping documents, packing slips and consignment notes are correctly prepared and stored
- Oversee the facilities management of the Hydraulic centre as required
- Ensure site compliance of Environment Health and Safety requirements and conduct site risk assessments within the facility
- Adhere to safe practices at all times, including the operation and maintenance of machinery, equipment and tools
- Ensure that the work area, including storage racks are kept clean and tidy and in line with 5S practises
- Maintain the onsite Hydraulics Centre quality system with continuous process improvements
- Provide a liaison between the Sales Team, Supply Chain and the various internal functions to coordinate the processing of customer orders for products and requests
- Supervise the manufacture of hose assemblies per the customer specifications. Ensure goods are received and stored appropriately in the warehouse, orders are picked, packed and shipped in accordance with the established processes and quality procedures
- Provide superior customer service through accuracy, high work standards and a timely response to customer requirements are expected
- Operate and maintain tools and equipment in a safe working condition at all times adhering to Eaton’s Environmental, Health and Safety policies and procedures

Qualifications
If you are:
- Minimum 3 years supervisory experience
- Experience dealing with fluid conveyance products and technical applications would be strongly desirable as would exposure to warehousing operations
- Ability to operate machinery and read basic engineering drawings with a high degree of attention to detail is essential.
