What You Will Do

Telemetry works with all cardiac patients of various conditions from advanced heart failure, cardiovascular surgery, observation and monitoring. This is a fast-paced floor where you need to be very detail oriented, understand intakes and outtakes, have great initiative and teamwork, and have excellent communication with the staff about patients.

You will be assisting with ADL’s, ordering supplies and stocking, and answering call lights as necessary. As an Associate with Saint Thomas Health Svcs-TN, you will have the opportunity to perform basic clinical and non-clinical patient care activities under supervision in assigned area.

Responsibilities:

• Aids with entry and exit of patients.
• Assists patients with tending to personal care and activities of daily living (ADL's) such as feeding, grooming, bathing.
• Reports findings or changes in physical, mental and emotional conditions to nursing staff. Documents necessary records.
• Responsible for keeping patient rooms clean and orderly as well as maintaining medical equipment.

What You Will Need

Licenses/Certifications/Registration:

• Required Credential(s):
  • BLS Provider credentialed from the American Heart Association (AHA) or Red Cross obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date. For current incumbents as of 4/30/18, BLS required upon expiration of Heart Saver.

Education:

• Diploma
  • High school diploma or GED required- verifired through background checks
