Senior Engineer

Rakuten Rewards is looking for a senior software engineer to join our rapidly growing

engineering team. We’re an international team spanning across 3 continents

responsible for building software used by hundreds of millions of users.

Responsibilities:

• Build highly performing applications and solutions

• Prototype new user experiences.

• Collaborate with data analysts, product and design on feature development

• Establish best practices in applications that consumers will love to use.

• Drive the architecture and technology choices that enable a world-class user

experience.

• Work closely with organization to adopt next-generation architecture strategies

(e.g. serverless, distributed systems).

Requirements:

• B.S. or M.S. in Computer Science or equivalent experience

• 5+ years of experience.

• Self-motivated learner

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Experience should include:

• AWS Technologies – Ec2, Lambda, VPCs, Step Functions

• Database/SQL experience

• Fluent in Python, Node.js, Java or Go

• Building scalable and performant backend applications (APIs, stream

processing/consumers, recommendation engines, large scale distributed

systems)
