Summary
The Sales Strategy & Operations group for Yelp’s Multi-Location Sales assists its leaders drive the business forward. You'll track the business performance, perform strategic analysis, and design processes to enable the organization to scale efficiently.
Utilizing your analytical abilities, project management skills, and passion for implementing operational efficiencies you’ll become a trusted advisor to executives and stakeholders. The ideal candidate is at the intersection of strong strategic, operational and analytical thinking combined with leadership skills to drive change. This candidate will demonstrate quick learning and an impressive history of driving results.
Where You Come In:
- You will drive weekly “rhythm of the business” through operational reviews of KPIs, leading revenue/pipeline meetings and coordinating updates on strategic initiatives
- You will lead ongoing analysis and reporting on business performance to support sales leadership and daily operations
- You will foster clarity and transparency of strategies, priorities, progress, and impact by owning the reporting and assisting with internal communication strategy
- You will conduct analyses to derive insights/trends that will drive business decisions and direct strategy
- You will evaluate the effectiveness of the go-to-market model and identify opportunities to improve sales efficiency and effectiveness
- You will provide business analytic strength to help drive initiatives critical to ongoing growth
- You will have cross-functional coordination w/other Yelp analytics (e.g. BizOps, Data Science)
- You will act as a trusted advisor to business stakeholders providing objective, data driven guidance on key initiatives
- You will build partnerships with Multi-Location Sales leaders and key cross-functional stakeholders
- You will improve operational excellence through identification and execution of initiatives that create efficiency, remove obstacles, or create improved processes and approaches to the business
- You will translate global initiatives to segment level and help drive alignment
- You will build cross-functional relationships to help solve interdisciplinary problems on behalf of the business
What it Takes to Succeed:
- You have 7+ years of work experience in Sales/Business Operations, Business Planning, Investment Banking and/or Strategy consulting, or 5+ years of experience with MBA/Masters degree, ideally in a high-growth environment
- You have excellent project management, problem solving/analysis, written/verbal communication and interpersonal skills, including ability to lead cross-functional projects, make final recommendations, and interact comfortably with senior executives
- You have demonstrated problem solving experience with a strong track record of drawing insights from large datasets and translating those into actionable strategies
- You have an ability to create and foster a high performing and metrics driven environment
- You are operationally focused, process oriented, and data driven
- You have an expert understanding of Salesforce, and close involvement with the teams that manage them
- You have experience leading cross-functional projects with Product, Success, Engineering, and Sales stakeholders with end-to-end execution
- You have advanced knowledge of analytical tools and techniques (SQL, Tableau, Excel, GDocs) and presentation software skills
- You are a team player who is comfortable working in a high-growth, constantly changing environment
