What You’ll Do:

• Responsible for tracking and managing progress on laboratory projects
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure that deadlines are adhered to; communicate and problem solve roadblocks as necessary
• Create action plans for new projects that are generated by new internal and external requests
• Ensure that appropriate time and resources are dedicated to support laboratory projects
• Responsible for coordination across labs, including requesting samples and documents, item coordination, and shipments
• Communicate directly with various internal and external partners to understand, define, and communicate progress on projects
• Develop firm understanding of internal lab processes and databases
• Build and maintain effective relationships which create a high level of trust across multiple functions at Tempus
• Respond to inquiries by phone, email and in person quickly and professionally

Qualifications:

• 4 year college degree, preferably in Biological Sciences or similar
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills; able to communicate across functions and teams
• Strong organizational skills and previous project management experience (i.e. familiar with gantt charts and other organizational tools)
• Highly attention to detail and ability to complete tasks on time with a high degree of accuracy
• Show initiative and ability to work as part of a high-level team while working independently
• Proven ability to learn new skills quickly and adapt to new processes smoothly
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office and Google Suite products
