ABOUT THE BILLING OPERATIONS SPECIALIST ROLE AND OUR TEAM:

The Billing Operations Specialist will provide support to the Billing team with backend data processing. The BOS team manages the back-end processes including posting of deposits, credits/refunds, all payment returns, and other ad hoc projects as needed. If you like to “nerd out” over numbers with a great attention to detail this position is for you.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Application of check payments while accurately recognizing revenue in NetSuite and Zuora.
• Responsible for sending check refund requests to our NY office weekly, while making sure to accurately report the refunds in appropriate systems.
• Processes all manual credit and debit memos to customer accounts as well as p rocess external refunds and invoice item adjustments.
• Owns the chargeback process which will include disputing credit card chargebacks through Clientline and AMEX in addition to working with the vendor to resolve
• Will take ownership and work ACH returns in Zuora from start to finish
• Consistently contributes to team efforts by accomplishing related tasks achieving timely, efficient and accurate results.
• Other duties as assigned

SUCCESSFUL BILLING OPERATIONS SPECIALIST CANDIDATES HAVE:

• Must be detail oriented
• Take a proactive role in your workload and development.
• Ability to manage time effectively and use provided resources to ensure all work is completed timely
• Being flexible and adaptable while changing priorities in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to work independently
• Experience using Salesforce
• Experience using Zuora Billing System (preferred)
• Excellent communication and organization skills
• Technologically savvy
• Ability to be flexible with working hours where there is a business need, including evenings and weekends
• Bachelor’s Degree or 2-4 years of relatable accounting experience
