This role isn’t for you.

Even though you have experience in marketing, even though you have led large teams, and even though you have a “track record” of being successful, this role isn’t for you.

Our market is too competitive: Within the tools business, our market share is limited. We have no easy wins here and no easy route to success. Creativity with a spirit of a challenger is required.

Our organization is too complex: We are global company with multiple business units, amazing technology, great leaders and incredible resources. But it is difficult to navigate, and requires effort.

Our Team’s responsibility is too broad: Everything from social media to in-store merchandising falls onto this team. We manage sales conferences, user events and print our catalog. The organization is dependent on us.

The brand is too big: Bosch is a global brand, present in just about every country in the world and represents multiple industries. It isn’t just power tools.

Our team is too intense: We are all doers, we move fast, and we like to push boundaries.

Key Responsibilities

· Lead the Bosch User Marketing team and communication across all relevant touchpoints including web, email, social, events, PR and customer touchpoints (in-store, ecommerce)

· Direct and Coordinate Production of Creative Material: Translate our messaging strategy into creative material that achieves our business and strategic objectives. This includes consumer and trade advertising.

· Channel/Internal Communication: Communicate initiatives within the organization for use in general business operations, planning, sales meetings, and for internal corporate communications

· Consumer Knowledge: Lead and participate in consumer research projects and lead/participate in the communication of results to the appropriate stakeholders within the organization.

· Manage team of Story Tellers, Creatives, and Digital Marketers through encouragement to drive the team to high performance

· Drive new methods into the organization, including Agile Marketing, Data Practices, Growth Marketing and Brand management.

Qualifications

  • 10+ years of successful brand marketing experience
  • Ability to build strong trust, credibility and rapport across cross-functional teams including senior leadership, direct reports, and
  • Ability to oversee multiple projects at a time and effectively drive them to completion
  • In depth experience and a deep understanding of the media/marketing technology industry (inclusive of the business side) and strong knowledge of evolving media trends
  • Curiosity to develop an understanding of the competitive market, customers and trends
  • Knowledge and experience within the professional construction industry
  • Ability to hire, motivate and coach highly effective teams
  • A great communicator and story-teller
  • This position requires 10% travel
