The Financial Management Information Systems group (FMIS) is an integral team within the Hutch’s Finance department providing critical links among the scientific programs, Finance and technology professionals to maximize the value of financial business applications. The team implements new financial applications and technologies as well as supports and enhances existing applications.
The FMIS Application Support Analyst is responsible for providing Tier 1 & 2 level support for Oracle PeopleSoft Financials (FMS) and Planning Budgeting Cloud Solution (PBCS).
Responsibilities
- Provide tier 1 & tier 2 support via the FMS Support Desk. Responsible for issue triage and resolution or escalation to various specialized analysts during support hours (8-5).
- Serve as a liaison between FMIS, end users, and technical support teams
- Own the “life cycle” of an issue from identification/logging, research, workaround/fix and communication with end user
- Ask questions to determine nature of problem and walk customer through problem-solving process
- Assist in testing. Execute testing and track results
- Maintain system documentation
- Provide support for projects as needed
