Job summary

The Red Hat Software Engineering team is looking for a Senior Manager to join us in Westford, MA. In this role, you will manage the Red Hat OpenShift and Red Hat OpenStack Platform development teams across IBM Z, Power, and ARM architectures. You will be involved in day-to-day development activities, working with program and project managers. You’ll scope development tasks using agile methodologies in conjunction with various internal cross Business Unit (BU) teams to roll out the layered solutions portfolio at Red Hat across Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) supported architectures.

Primary job responsibilities

• Work with program and project managers on daily development activities
• Use agile methodologies to scope development activities; collaborate with various internal BU teams to roll out the solutions portfolio
• Scope planned activities in Jira with epics or stories and portfolio views implemented with Smartsheet gantt charts for the creation of solutions roadmaps with program management

Required skills

• Knowledge of Red Hat OpenShift, Red Hat OpenStack Platform, and Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) as they relate to the layered solution offering from Red Hat
• Familiarity with and skills in Jira and Bugzilla
• Willingness to learn new product areas
