Within this new model, our Pharmacy Technicians will have the opportunity to be fully integrated into the care plans of our patients.
Ascension is transforming the way healthcare is delivered and shifting the caregiver model to support our associates. Because no patient is the same, care coordination is extremely important. Rounding will transform to a full team approach. From residents to case managers, each associate that participates in the care of our patients, will all round together for direct communication. In this way, the new model fosters better communication and cohesiveness because by knowing each other, we strengthen our units and enhance our patient care.
This new model will have a significant impact on healthcare not only through our national organization but ultimately reshaping the healthcare model for all.
A New Unit
You will work in our newly designed innovation unit. Here, the entire care team is centrally located to foster communication and cohesion. Our new associate break room provides opportunity to recharge by providing a home-like feel with state of the art technology to allow you to connect virtually with your family when you can’t physically be with them. We believe that in order to truly care for our patients, you first need to take care of yourself. This new unit and team makes every effort to uphold that tenant.
What You Will Do
As a member of the interdisciplinary care team you will be responsible for coordinating holistic pharmacy services related to the timely delivery of sterile and non-sterile compounding medications and automated drug distribution services. This includes inventory control, data collection such as patient specific data including but not limited to medication history in accordance with established policies and procedures and regulatory requirements.
