Available in our office at MINDBODY Headquarters in beautiful San Luis Obispo, CA, you’ll be part of the Mobile Engineering Team that is focused on creating technology that allows our customers to find and book the best fitness, wellness and beauty services in their community and around the world. Your work will directly contribute to MINDBODY customers around the globe living healthier & happier lives. You’ll work full-time in the MINDBODY software development life cycle, including specification, design, implementation and testing of new features and bug fixing. As an Mobile Engineer, you’ll serve as a self-directed, key contributor to code development on features and bugs to produce successful team sprints. You’ll brainstorm with Product Managers and designers to conceptualize and estimate new features. You’ll collaborate with backend engineers to efficiently build out new API for mobile apps and more!
Software Engineers work in the MINDBODY software development life cycle, including specification, design, and implementation and testing of new features and bug fixing. Software Engineers are responsible for their own code and bugs.
The Software Engineer I – Mobile designs, develops, troubleshoots and debugs mobile applications. This includes developing software components including Networking, Frameworks, Views, Utilities, Deployment and Automation tools.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS:
· Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or equivalent
· Experience in developing mobile applications, web and/or large-scale enterprise products
· Development Experience: Swift and Xcode
· Familiarity with MVC architecture
· Familiarity with version control
· Uses time effectively and efficiently
· Quickly learns new technologies
· Detailed oriented, professional and possesses a positive work attitude
· Communicate professionally both verbally and in writing
· Ability to collaborate with fellow team members
PRINCIPAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Develops high-quality code under the mentorship of senior software engineers
· Supports with the software design process based on functional requirements
· Supports in the creation and maintenance of project documentation
· Participates in testing all areas of the code through unit testing and bug fixes
· Regularly collaborates with other developers to evaluate work for technical feasibility
· Adheres to internal best practices and coding conventions
· Takes an active interest in mobile application quality
· Communicates successfully with team
· Participates in peer code reviews to ensure quality of the codebase
· Updates job knowledge by studying state-of-the-art development tools, programming techniques, and computing equipment; participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations
· All other duties as assigned
