About the Role Houzz is looking for a team-player with strong communication skills and superb attention to details to take on a role of Accounts Payable Specialist for four of our International offices. In this position, you will work closely with the Finance Manager in all aspects of Accounts Payable.
What You’ll Do
- As a member of the Accounting team you will be responsible for Accounts Payable using these systems: NetSuite & Nexonia
- Daily management of full cycle Accounts Payable process including vendor database, vendor invoices, monthly payments and employee reimbursements
- Set up new vendor profiles
- Process vendor bills
- Enforce procurement policy and the appropriate use of PO’s
- Process bi monthly payment runs
- Obtain missing information such as PO, signed agreements, etc.
- Assign GL & department code for bills without PO
- Answer all vendor and employee’s inquiries regarding bills and payments
- Answer EE inquiry regarding policy and payment.
- Review and complete bi monthly credit card reconciliations.
- Review, redesign and transform processes that scale with company growth and ensures adherence to policies, guidelines, and internal controls
- Maximize use and functionality of enhanced systems and minimize manual work
- Own and monitoring workload to ensure high accuracy of coding transactions, maintain low backlog of unprocessed transactions
- Manage travel & expense reimbursements payments
- Support monthly closing of AP, provide support for the month end accrual and related entries, account reconciliations ensuring accuracy and completeness
- Handle various other accounting duties as requested
At a Minimum, We’d Like You to Have
- A university degree within Accounting, Finance, or related field
- 3 + years of experience in Accounting
- ERP systems experience, NetSuite is a plus
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite, especially Excel
- Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritise and adhere to tight deadlines
- A precision- and detail-oriented mindset with strong analytical skills
- A proven ability to identify and drive process/system improvements
- Solid communication skills (written and verbal);
- Strong interpersonal skills including conscientiousness, diplomacy, flexibility, dependability; and ability to maintain confidentiality
- An ability to work effectively within a team, as well as independently and cross-functionally
- A trustworthy, positive, energetic and optimistic attitude with a willingness to roll up your sleeves
