What you’ll be doing...

The VoIP/Voice Applications Platform Support Engineer IV is responsible for on-boarding and operational support of applications within the VCP (Verizon Cloud Platform) and HP hardware platforms. You will be responsible for the Ribbon (Sonus) platform and supporting devices.

You will be responsible for the implementation of feature designs and provide feedback and engineering solutions to improve reliability and performance. You will partner with all key stakeholders to ensure new features and\or fixes are swiftly rolled out with no negative impact to customers or system performance.

• Provide Tier II Technical Support on Ribbon (Sonus) devices.
• Deploy new network elements.
• Embracing agile methodologies and showing an aptitude for being able to adapt.

What we’re looking for...

You’ll need to you have:

• Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of work experience.
• Four or more years of relevant work experience.
• Ribbon (Sonus) application software and hardware experience.
• Experience with Linux systems in an enterprise production environment.

Even better if you have:

• A degree in Computer Science or equivalent.
• Ability to quickly analyze situations, identify problems, and provide solutions.
• Six or more years of experience in telecommunications.
• Ability to lead and drive projects to completion.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently.
