Role
The Compliance Quality Assurance Analyst will manage Airbnb Payment’s operational quality assurance activities and support other audit initiatives, as needed. This position is responsible for performing detailed testing of investigations performed by the Compliance Operations team, including investigative reports, required by anti-money laundering, economic sanctions enforcement, and other compliance programs. This role will ensure that day-to-day compliance investigation activities are maintained to a high standard, ready for regulatory examinations and prepared to mitigate risks to the business. This role will also assist with activities related to internal control monitoring and external regulatory exam obligations.
Responsibilities
- Independently manage quality assurance testing on a monthly and quarterly basis of AML, KYC and Sanctions cases completed by the Compliance Operation team.
- Distil actionable insights from testing to improve the quality of operational processes .
- Present monthly and quarterly QA findings to management and collaborate to determine appropriate action plans.
- Work closely with operational investigators to determine root cause of issues, provide coaching, and determine necessary follow up actions.
- Ability to get up to speed on new operational processes and requirements quickly, to provide actionable feedback prior to launch.
- Ability to review complex process and procedure documents with attention to detail to identify potential issues, inaccuracies, or areas of risk.
- Track all remedial actions through completion, confirming complete and accurate closure.
- Create, manage and maintain metrics to monitor quality of operational processes.
- Maintain a comprehensive understanding of Compliance’s current operational processes
- Coordinate with Program Manager on activities associated with internal control monitoring and external regulatory exams.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree or Technical Equivalent
- 5+ Years work experience, with demonstrated experience in regulatory compliance, quality, risk management, audit or related fields. Preferred AML/Sanctions experience directly
- Demonstrated experience working with compliance AML, KYC or Sanctions investigations and/or process reviews
- Strong process thinker
- Superior attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple projects while maintaining a high degree of quality
- Ability to work closely and build trust with investigators and management
- Exceptional organization and process management ability

- Ability and desire to work in a fast-paced environment
- Professional Certification in compliance risk management or audit preferred.
