What is the opportunity?

The Quantitative & Technology Services Group is seeking a Developer for the qTK team. The candidate will work in QTS group to develop new features in qTK framework to enable enterprise applications/data fabric integration with front office KDB+ applications/data sources.

What will you do?

• Work with business and technology stakeholders to build new and maintain existing libraries and functions.
• Develop an in depth understanding of existing analytical libraries and help broaden current offerings.
• Identify and implement solutions to optimize performance and maintaining fast query execution.
• Building enterprise KDB+ applications interfacing with different technologies like c/c++, python etc.

What do you need to succeed?

Must Have:

• Strong hands on experience with KDB+/q with at least 2+ years of recent experience.
• Understanding of KDB+ technology ecosystem.
• Good working knowledge of Linux environments and scripting languages such as Bash, and Perl.
• Experience with Agile methodology and tools such as SVN, Git, Jenkins, Nexus and Jira.

Nice to have:

• Working knowledge of Python/R/C/C++ is highly desirable.
• Understanding of big data technologies.
• Experience with streaming / complex event processing software packages (StreamBase, Storm, Esper, etc.) is a plus.
