Job summary

The Red Hat Sales team is looking for a Partner Solutions Architect to join us in Mumbai, India. In this role, you will work with the Partner Solutions and Independent Software Vendor (ISV) team to recruit, technically enable, and go to market with ISVs. You'll need to have significant experience with infrastructure and development tooling used to refactor, migrate, or develop applications to run on Linux-based operating systems, container, or cloud-native environments gained through previous experience in either a technical pre sales, developer, or operations role with an ISV, system integrator (SI), or cloud provider. You'll need to have the ability to develop and nurture relationships with key technical influencers and decision makers within our ISV partners and to accelerate their adoption of Red Hat as the preferred platform on which to run and certify their applications. As a Partner Solutions Architect, you will serve as the voice of our partners within Red Hat for the definition, prioritization, and development of tools, methodologies, best practices, and training programs. You'll collaborate closely with an extended team of technical pre sales, partner, and key account managers across the region so you'll need to be capable of understanding and balancing the requirements of multiple stakeholders.

Primary job responsibilities

  • Assist with the definition of market problems and opportunities for Red Hat's offerings to make an impact, especially while working with Red Hat's partners
  • Work in collaboration with the India ISV partner managers to define and agree on our ISV partner strategy and implementation plans and priorities
  • Develop and nurture relationships with key technical influencers and decision makers from the technical presales, solutions delivery, and product management areas of new and existing ISVs
  • Analyze ISV offerings and identify and position offerings and services that will add business value
  • Deliver and participate in high-level presentations, discovery workshops, demos, and solutions definition
  • Facilitate ISV evaluation of Red Hat's candidate offerings and solutions and the certified cloud and service providers (CCSPs) to progress from a candidate solution to a technical win while staying involved at every stage of the process
  • Define and deliver reference architectures, proofs of concepts, and solutions validation
  • Support ISV partners to certify their applications for Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL), Red Hat OpenStack Platform, and Red Hat OpenShift
  • Jointly develop field-readiness plans for ISV technical pre sales and delivery associates which effectively apply Red Hat's official training and certification assets and programs
  • Assist ISVs in using resources like the Red Hat Product Demo System or in implementing in-house lab environments to support their training and in the evaluation of Red Hat's offerings and technologies

Required skills

  • Proven technical experience in software development or operations roles with the refactoring, migration, or development of applications and workloads to run over Linux, container, Docker, or cloud-native Infrastructure-as-a-Service (IaaS) or Platform-as-a-Service (PaaS) platforms
  • Experience with open source developer platforms and tools including Eclipse Che, Node.js, Vue.js, Github, Nexus, Red Hat Ansible Automation Platform, and Jenkins
  • Good technical understanding of Linux OS, Red Hat OpenShift or Docker, Kubernetes, and how they are configured to support cloud-ready applications and workloads
  • Solid grasp of agile software development, continuous integration (CI), continuous delivery (CD), and DevOps methodologies
  • 3+ years of experience working in a technical pre sales or support role
  • Solid communication skills; ability to adapt your messaging and content to various types of both technical and non-technical audiences
  • Ability to work as part of a geographically distributed team
  • Ability to constantly learn about new technologies and apply these concepts to customer needs
  • Willingness to travel up to 30%
  • Comfortable with ambiguity and trying to define new market spaces
  • Presentation or public speaking skills
